Located in Central Georgia, approximately two hours from Atlanta and one hour from Augusta, GA., our family owned cattle farm raises and produces AHA Registered Miniature Herefords and the highly sought after organic Piedmontese beef cattle.
Miniature Herefords, like Classic Herefords, are more like the true Herefords of the past. Stocky, small framed, gentle, and easy to care for make the Miniature Hereford the perfect pet or beef animal. Fast maturing, heavily muscled, and extremely efficient feed conversion animals, Miniature Herefords are second to none when processed for table fare. They also make extremely good pets due to their gentle nature and minimal land requirements. In fact you can keep two or three Miniature Herefords on the same amount of land as you could keep one regular sized cow. Double AJ Farms breeds and markets both horned/dehorned Miniature Herefords as well as polled Miniature Herefords. All of our Miniature Hereford seedstock are registered with the American Hereford Association to alleviate any possibility of dwarfism within the herd.
Here at Double AJ Farms we continue to specialize in raising quality registered Miniature Hereford seedstock. Our registered Miniature cows are bred to deliver performance and satisfaction to our clients. In the mild spring, summer, and fall months we pasture graze our cows as well as provide healthy mineral supplements to ensure proper health and nutrition. In the winter months we provide annual cold season grazing as well as our own grown and cut hay along with mineral supplements to assist in continued good health. We are a working farm and with our cattle every day to insure our buyers that they are receiving the best stock available.
Double AJ Farms also specializes in the sale of grass-fed beef for the health conscious consumer. There is nothing more satisfying then knowing you are serving your family healthy, all natural, tender grass-fed beef without hormones or steroids added.
The health and welfare of our cattle are foremost. We continually strive to produce a hormone free calf for sale to the market or by private treaty. Our calves are strictly monitored and all health records are readily available.
